Friday morning during the 2014 NCHBC National Tip-Off tournament, the MHEA Eagles defeated the Memphis Metro Mustangs in the first ever meeting between the two Memphis programs. It was probably Tip-Off's most exciting battle as the Eagles jumped out to an early lead only to see the Mustangs come roaring back into the mix.
I tweeted updates from the game and I also recorded footage. But unlike other games, I wasn't able to share the footage live because of a bad internet connection. But I promised to save and share the footage later. So better late than never, here is the "retweet" of the Battle of Memphis!
If you enjoyed this, here are some more ways to get more informed about the national homeschool hoops scene:
Follow @NCHBCLive on Twitter. The timeline contains over 500 tweets and hundreds of video clips from the first weekend of homeschool hoops action. I plan to update the feed regularly throughout the season.
Follow @HSLive365 on Twitter and hslive365.com on the web. The "worldwide leader in homeschool sports" coverage features rankings of the country's top boys (and soon girls) basketball teams, stories about teams and players, information about national tournaments for homeschool sports (more than just basketball), and much more.
