OKC Storm: Tip-Off "Retweet"

During the 2014 NCHBC National Tip-Off tournament I shared hundreds of video clips, comments, and updates from the @NCHBCLive Twitter account.  But Twitter only allows 140 characters at a time.  And not everyone is on Twitter.  So I decided to "retweet" the narratives from select games here, all in one place, in case players, coaches, parents, and fans would like to go hoops crazy and surf through the weekend.  This is the kind of thing I would have done as a young hoops crazy kid.  And honestly, it's the kind of thing I'd do now!

So here are the "live" video and Twitter updates from Tip-Off's most dominant team:  The OKC Storm.  For the second consecutive season, the two time defending homeschool basketball national champions split their team in two for Tip-Off.  And like last year, both teams sailed through tournament play undefeated.  We'll start with OKC Blue's 2nd game versus the NWA Hornets (AR).  From there we go to OKC Gold's 2nd game versus the MHEA Eagles (TN), and on to OKC Blue versus Impact (VA), and finally OKC Gold versus the KC East Lions.  Enjoy!

*Correction: BJ Maxwell was the player crossing over here.*

Storm Gold went on to win and advance to the Tip-Off championship game.  But like last year, the two teams passed on the "intra-squad" game.  After all, they can play each other in practice.  And more importantly, they will now combine to form one team.  One dynamite team!

If you enjoyed this, here are some more ways to get more informed about the national homeschool hoops scene:

Follow @NCHBCLive on Twitter.  The timeline contains over 500 tweets and hundreds of video clips from the first weekend of homeschool hoops action.  I plan to update the feed regularly throughout the season.

Follow @HSLive365 on Twitter and hslive365.com on the web.  The "worldwide leader in homeschool sports" coverage features rankings of the country's top boys (and soon girls) basketball teams, stories about teams and players, information about national tournaments for homeschool sports (more than just basketball), and much more.
